Macaroni Commas is an engaging game that you can bring out again and again to help pupils to revise their punctuation skills. Simply print the cards out on any colour you like, with the questions on one side and the answers on the other. Provide some macaroni to your pupils and let them guess where the missing comma should be placed in the sentence. This activity can be self-assessed making it a great fast finisher or challenge. I have used this resource from P4 - P7 and it has always been a hit! TIP - I find it better to print the questions and answers on different cards so that children can look at the answer without flipping their current card over. For example: Question 1’s answer will be on the back of Question 2’s card.
